Certification or Grading
Diamond certification is a system originally created to evaluate the quality of a diamond based on the 4Cs - carat, color, clarity, and cut. Diamond certification is also referred to as diamond grading. The certification is performed by a lab such as GIA, IGI or HRD. The grading applies to loose stones.. After being set in a Modani jewel the jewellery will be accompanied by a Modani certificate.

GIA
The GIA (Gemological Institute of America) is the most well-respected and renowned diamond grading entity. They are incredibly consistent and provide the greatest peace of mind when purchasing any diamond.

GIA has no financial stake in the sale of the diamond and evaluates diamonds on a variety of qualities and elements. GIA has a reputation for rating rated Color and Clarity, the most subjective scales, more rigorously.

IGI
IGI is the global leader for jewelry assessment and renowned for diamonds and colored gemstones.

IGI screens every diamond using state of the art technologies to determine naturally mined, laboratory grown or simulant origin. Experienced graduate gemologists conduct further assessment in controlled conditions, detailing relevant gemological characteristics according to the strictest international system.

HRD
The HRD laboratory has the knowledge and instruments needed to thoroughly analyse stones. HRD Antwerp is located in the heart of the world�s oldest diamond hub. Understanding the importance of anonymity and objectivity, HRD uses a double coding system, which leaves no room for errors.

Modani
