What are Cookies?
Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners in order to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.
Why Cookies?
Many sites use cookies to increase the user experience which is a good thing for you as end-user. However often cookies are also used to collect information for advertisement and commercial activities. That has led to strict regulations around the use of cookies, especially by the European Union (GDPR or General Data Protection Regulation, and the EPR or ePrivacy Regulation). Therefore you will often be confronted with messages for cookie consent and management. That undoes the advantage of improving the website experience. For this reason we have decided not to use cookies on this website.
We have however added the functionality to translate our pages through Google translate. Upon using that functionality a cookie is generated, storing the language you selected (for example for English to Italian: /en/it). This cannot be disabled as it it embedded in the translation plugin from Google.
In no case do we store any personal data, nor do we share your data with third parties (only cookies that are used to identify users, qualify as personal data and are therefore subject to the GDPR).
